Application for Membership Application & Waiver
Membership in the DLPOA is approved by the board once an application has been submitted and reviewed. A processing fee of $250 must accompany ANY inquiry as to eligibility. General inquiries should be sent to info@dlpoa.org.

A membership application may be filled out by downloading and printing the Member Application Packet, or a hardcopy can be mailed to you by contacting manager@dlpoa.org. The application must include all applicable fees.

Applicants intending to use DLPOA boat or trailer facilities must also include the waiver form.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR 2012 MEMBERSHIP

Please complete all pages of the 2012 membership application and attach a copy of your signed grant deed. Mail it with the appropriate fees to DLPOA, C/O Raymond Hapai, COO, 17118 Lawrence Way, Grass Valley, CA 95949. Donner Lake Property Owner's Association has a membership limit. If a membership is available at the time your application is received, it will be processed and if your property qualifies for membership, a membership will be issued to you. If the association has reached its membership capacity, you will be notified, your money returned and you will be placed on a waiting list. When a membership does become available, you will be contacted.

The membership must be in the name of a legal, LIVING property owner.

No memberships or cards will be activated unless ALL questions on the renewal form are answered in full and all fees paid.

Providing false information, will likely result in revocation of your membership.

Fees:
Initiation fee: The fee for 2012 is $2,500.00 This is a one-time fee per new membership.
Membership dues: The dues for 2012 are $90.00.
2012 ID Card for Entry System: ($5.00 for each I.D. card issued)
(Total amount must match listed family members plus member plus spouse)
Your I.D swipe card will be issued at the Kiosk when you present a photo I.D. and if you are listed as an eligible immediate family member or are the member or spouse.

Subsequently, your I.D. swipe card must be presented at the Kiosk for entry. If you do not present your swipe card, you will not be admitted to the beach nor be able to vote in the association elections.
Processing/Research Fee: This is a one-time administrative fee for all memberships - new, inherited, or change of property address and is $250.00.

Boat use fees: The fee is $70.00 per year for each boat that is required to be registered (any motor vessel and sail boats over 8 feet). The fee is $10.00 for each boat that is not required to be registered (paddle boats, canoes, kayaks, windsurfers, inflatable paddle boards, inflatable kayaks, zodiac type boats etc.).
Storage fees: If you want to store your boat or trailer, you need to pay a storage fee plus a boat use fee. The fee is $300.00 per registered boat left at the beach, $400 per registered boat left in the water (limited to the area behind the breakwater) overnight and $150 per trailer left on the beach. The fee is $55.00 for unregistered boats. Note: Prior to receiving boat and storage stickers, all members must sign a waiver form holding the association harmless from any damages related to the members' boats and/or trailers.
Note: Before you will be issued Boat Use and Storage stickers, you must sign and return the enclosed Waiver of Liability form.

Renter Card: The fee is $1000. This card is necessary if you want to allow renters of your property to have access to the beach. If you receive income or gain financial benefits in any way such as vacation property trades, work in lieu of rent etc. from the use of your property, a Renter Card must be purchased. If you have a Renter Card, you do not also have to purchase a Guest Card. Each renter also pays a daily use fee of $8; children under the age of 3 are free. There is a maximum limit of 10 renters per day per Renter Card. The card is good for all summer except Saturday, June 30th through Sunday, July 8th and Saturday, September 1st through Sunday, September 9th. The beach closure date for the season TBD.

Guest Card: The fee is $150. This card is necessary if you want to enable guests of yours to come to the beach unaccompanied by you or a member of your immediate family. Each unaccompanied guest must also pay a daily fee of $8; children under the age of 3 are free when they use the beach. There is a maximum limit of 10 such unaccompanied guests per day per Guest Card. The card is good for all summer except Saturday, June 30th through Sunday, July 8th and Saturday, September 1st through Sunday, September 9th. The beach closure date for the season TBD.  

Members may otherwise bring guests to the beach at any time, without fee and without the need for either of these cards, so long as the member or his/her immediate family is on the beach at all times with the guests. As a courtesy to other members, however, please inform the Beach Manager ahead of time if you plan on bringing more than ten guests on any day. In short, that is ten guests per day per membership number, not for each photo swipe card.

Please be aware that you may not bring as a guest or provide your Renter or Guest Card to any former DLPOA member (or his family members) whose membership has been revoked. To do so, will risk your own membership.

Just a reminder that there is “No Smoking and No Glass” on the beach. Gate keys are only sold to members with watercraft for the sole purpose of launching their water craft and promptly leaving DLPOA property. Refer to your copy of the “Beach Rules” that we will be sending you after receiving your renewal fees.
